The fireworks that exploded on the pitch in the middle of PSG-Reims, Saturday in the women’s D1, in Poissy, particularly scared Canal+ commentator Aline Riera.

It was live on Canal+ Foot, Saturday afternoon, that the match between PSG and Stade de Reims, in women’s D1, changed. Fireworks exploded on the field and the players, who had just started the second half of the game (0-0), then ran towards the locker room to take cover. Forty minutes after this surreal attack (which caused no injuries), the meeting, organized at the Poissy municipal stadium, was definitively stopped.

The commentators of the encrypted channel, installed high up on a basket, were in the immediate vicinity of the fireworks mortar shots. “ I have my children alone at home. I don’t want to be there anymore. I’m going to stay because it’s my job. I was scared from the first detonation. Sparks reached the post comm“, then regretted Aline Riera, the former French international who became a consultant at C+.

The channel’s team (Anthony Tobelem was the commentator) took refuge in a safe place, the events then being presented from a set at the audiovisual group’s headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
