This time, the African leaders are set. The draw for the group stage of this 2024 edition of the African Cup of Nations was made this Thursday evening. Three months before the curtain rises in Ivory Coast, the 24 qualified nations now know their program for the prestigious continental tournament.
Two years after the coronation of Senegal, the field still promises to be very tough. In addition to the training led by Sadio Mané, other heavyweights from the continent will have the ambition to go to the end. Ivory Coast will be eagerly awaited as host country, just like Cameroon, which organized the previous edition. Morocco will also be one to watch closely after its unprecedented epic for an African nation in a World Cup. Algeria, still as well stocked, will be just as formidable, in the same way as Egypt or Nigeria. As a reminder, this edition will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024. Five Ivorian cities will host the competition: Abidjan (two venues), Bouaké, Korhogo, San Pedro and Yamoussoukro.
