New nugget of FC Barcelona, Fermin Lopez (20 years old) is slowly adapting to the Catalan club. He has six appearances this season including one league goal. He also stood out in preparation with a double against Real Madrid. In short, the midfielder is currently flourishing with the Blaugrana. However, it was not always easy and he experienced depression during his journey when he was younger. This is what he explained to Mundo Deportivo: “the truth is that as a third year kid, there was a moment before Christmas when I reached my limits, I couldn’t take it anymore, it was a lot of frustration, I cried a lot, I had a bad time. I tried to do it when I was alone, but sometimes people saw it too. I was depressed, but hey, everyone goes through a stage like that in the end. I think it made me mentally stronger and helped me take it better when these kinds of circumstances arise again.”

The player was nevertheless able to count on the support of the Catalan club to get through this complicated period: “the club could already see that my head was not doing well and I had psychological help for a while and it went well. I controlled it little by little. Because I was very angry, I was very frustrated, I was eating my head a lot and it’s mentally bad when I study because I was thinking about the same thing all the time.” The player also explained that his proximity to Gavi and Cristo Muñoz made things easier for him.
