During an interview, Marcus Thuram spoke about his future in Blue as well as his choice not to join PSG last summer.

The bet of Marcus Thuram started off pretty well. After a very promising stint on the side of Borussia Monchengladbachthe French international has reached a milestone by freely joining theInter Milan during the summer transfer window. Since then, the 26-year-old has had a string of good performances and has already been decisive 10 times (3 goals, 7 assists) in 10 matches in all competitions, including a superb goal in the derby won (5-1) against at AC Milan, enough to already make a place in the hearts of Nerazzuri supporters.

Thuram remains calm

A new starting status in a big club which could develop its own with theFrench team, which he will join this Monday in Clairefontaine. On this occasion, the native of Parma spoke during an interview with The Teamand despite his current good form, he does not expect to completely shake up the hierarchy in attack for the moment. “I always arrive in the same way in the French team, with the desire to repay the trust that was given to me. I don’t see this internship as more important than any other. They all are. I come with the desire to perform and help the team. (…) I don’t think about how people perceive me. Every time I go to the French team, I go there to give my best. Whether I am called as 26th or not”he explained while admitting that it would be “a dream” to start with the Blues one day.

The player trained at Sochaux then explained his choice to join the Lombard club rather than PSG, which had made him a target in its quest to “Frenchize” its squad. “I know why I made this choice. I know that people who know football know what Inter Milan represents, the immense players who have played there. When we put on this jersey, we feel that we are wearing a story. There is an extraordinary enthusiasm, when we meet people in the street, they are all talking about the match that is coming. (…) It is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. And then I join a stable team which works very well, which was finalist in the Champions League (lost 0-1 against Manchester City, June 10), which has great players. My choice is linked to all that, in fact”, he continued. Thuram will undoubtedly have the opportunity to shine with the Blues against the Netherlands (13/10) then Scotland (17/10), he who scored his first goal in the French jersey against Ireland on 7 september.
