This hitch is not insignificant in Messi’s season. It marks a setback for the world champion, who had piled up goals like pearls during his first two months. Without the play-offs, the rest of this campaign will be much more hollow for Messi, who will have to plan for new objectives. Far from the United States? Regularly announced at FC Barcelona since his departure two and a half years ago, Messi is once again the subject of return rumors.
