Jude Bellingham equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid record by scoring his 10th goal in as many matches.

Bellingham found the net again for the Spanish giants, this time in a La Liga match at home to Osasuna. The midfielder finished off a well-executed collective action by teammates Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal in the ninth minute of the match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Bellingham then scored his team’s second goal, taking his tally to 10 goals in 10 matches since signing for Madrid, equaling Ronaldo’s record in as many games. Moreover, after the English international’s goal, the Madrilenians compared him to the famous English playwright William Shakespeare.

“English people who wrote love stories”, the club posted on social media, citing Shakespeare and Bellingham.

The 20-year-old, who has also provided three assists this season, is one of the best signings of the season since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund for €100m at the start of the summer. So far, he has more than justified the amount of his transfer and it is a safe bet that he will not stop there.

After welcoming Osasuna, the Madrilenians will face Sevilla next Saturday.
