Barely two weeks after expressing the wish to join the Algerian selection, Amine Gouiri saw his wish granted.

The 23-year-old striker is among the lucky ones chosen by Djamel Belmadi who this Saturday summoned 25 players for the international break in October.

After having worn the tricolor jersey 74 times in the youth teams, the Rennes striker could defend a new flag on October 12 against Cape Verde or on October 16 against Egypt.

Other Ligue 1 players were called for this Algerian gathering: Nice’s Youcef Atal, Hicham Boudaoui and Badredine Bouanani as well as Messin’s Kévin Guitoun.
