Manchester United could induct a former ASM employee into the post of sporting director.

Manchester United’s potential future buyer, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is working on his plans for the club. And his priority would be to appoint a competent manager at the head of the sports sector. He thinks of a man who has proven himself, and more precisely on the side of the Principality.

Ratcliffe already sees himself in Manchester

Ratcliffe, who is competing with Qatar’s royal family to try to buy the Red Devils, is even prepared to take a minority stake in the club as a first step.

According to CBS Sports, he also identified Paul Mitchell as a candidate for the club’s sporting director position. The latter, who recently left AS Monaco, is highly appreciated by several Premier League clubs.

For the past ten years, United have struggled to recruit players. John Murtaugh currently holds the position, but any change in ownership would likely mean the end of his time at United.
