After obtaining the organization of the 2030 World Cup, along with Spain and Portugal, Morocco is pushing hard to regain the right to host the final.

The big announcement came this week. For lack of opponents, Morocco, Spain and Portugal obtained the organization of the 2030 World Cup in a competition which will take place not on two but on three continents. To celebrate the centenary of the event, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will organize the first three meetings of this World Cup.

However, not all the details have been settled regarding this World Cup, starting with the distribution of matches. Fifa requires between 14 and 18 stadiums for this 48-team World Cup, and Morocco has presented six sites – Agadir, Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier and Fez – but the president of the Moroccan Football Federation, Faouzi Kekjaa, indicated consideration was underway to propose other locations.

“The sites that we will present will not only meet FIFA requirements, but will also benefit from cultural diversity and geographical richness”explained Lekjaa on a Moroccan radio, also emphasizing the geographical proximity of Madrid, Lisbon and Casablanca, separated by an hour’s flight.

Above all, the Moroccan leader dreams of seeing his country host the final of the competition. “We hope to experience an extraordinary final which will honor the entire continent and the young generations in a stadium in Casablanca which will be extraordinary and wonderful”said Lekjaa about the future stadium in Morocco’s economic capital, which will be able to accommodate 93,000 spectators.
