A humiliation. Overtaken by Newcastle (1-4) on the second day of Group F of the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain experienced a nightmarish evening on Wednesday in the north of England. Present at the press conference, Luis Enrique nevertheless fully assumed this first big setback while the other Parisians interviewed preferred to procrastinate. In the mixed zone, Manuel Ugarte, for his part, pointed out a certain failure in the attitude of his team.

“Newcastle were more aggressive, they are coming back to the Champions League, it’s new for them. I say that in a good way but I think we could have done more in terms of attitudes, on an individual level but hey it wasn’t just because of us. The credit also goes to them. We must not forget that we are second in this group and we must continue”said the Uruguayan before continuing: “we could have had a better match but the difference was too big between what we wanted to do and what happened during the match. Newcastle played very well, pressed a lot. Now we have to correct the mistakes and think about the next match. Newcastle were very well organized, they were very strong at home. The atmosphere always has an impact, the supporters were strong but we could have done better despite everything. We could have done more but the goal difference does not reflect the match.. A reaction is now expected during the reception of AC Milan on October 25.
