MU manager Erik Ten Hag defended his goalkeeper André Onana against violent external criticism.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has insisted he has every confidence in goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Onana remains untouchable
Onana conceded three goals in Tuesday night’s Champions League defeat to Galatasaray at Old Trafford. This earned him particularly bitter barbs from the media, but it did not lower his rating with his manager.
The match had barely finished, the Dutch coach said about the former intermediary. “We are satisfied with our group of goalkeepers, and in particular with André. Last year he was in the Champions League final, he has the ability to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He showed it and he will do it (again). We have already seen his great ability in matches, and even his personality after making mistakes.”
“He will bounce back and I am sure he will do so in the next matches as well,” added the Batavian. Onana can therefore sleep soundly. Unless Ten Hag is disembarked by his management and in this case everything will be called into question for him.
