Chelsea are having a complicated start to the season, after spending 460 million euros this summer. The Blues have only won one league match after six days, and are in fifteenth place in the Premier League standings, awaiting their evening duel with neighbors Fulham. A start which logically does not live up to the expectations of the supporters or Todd Boehly, the American boss of the Blues.
And as the English press explains, Chelsea management already has a plan to turn things around. Unsurprisingly, Boehly will therefore continue to invest massively, and the Sun explains that the Blues are looking for a loan from American institutions. Chelsea’s staff hopes to be able to obtain 500 million pounds – around 576 million euros – in order to strengthen the team from January.
Already two beautiful tracks
A substantial amount which should allow Mauricio Pochettino to add some interesting pieces to a squad that is nevertheless well stocked. According to the English media and other publications like The Guardian, the Blues’ efforts should focus on the offensive sector. There are two names at the top of Chelsea’s shopping list for the month of January: Victor Osimhen (Naples) and Ivan Toney (Brentford).
The Neapolitan striker is in conflict with his club, even if in recent hours things have calmed down a little. “Coming to the city of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me.
