AS Roma: José Mourinho kicks in for his future

Very courted last summer, notably by Paris Saint-Germain, José Mourinho ultimately stayed at AS Roma. Praised since he coached the Giallorosso club, the Portuguese technician is having a complicated start to the 2023/2024 season with a poor eleventh place in the rankings. Enough to earn him some reprimands. And Mourinho doesn’t like that.

“Three months ago, I was loved. There was panic just talking about my goodbyes. Today, given that we had a horrible start to the season in the league, I am questioning myself. But that’s not a problem. (…) You keep talking about the future, but I don’t have to talk about the future. My future is the agreement I signed with Roma until June 30 (2024) and it is serious for me. I don’t have to talk to the owners, a trainer must respect them and not make any comments. I’m happy for them too, of course, because they want to win matches and they were sorry for the result in Genoa. I work for them, I work for the Roma fans and for the players. When we succeed, I am happy. »We won’t know any more.
