Lamine Yamal has been a revelation since he burst onto the scene at FC Barcelona.
Yamal became the youngest player in the club’s history in April and has since established himself in the first team, despite turning just 16 in July.
He has been very impressive when called upon since the start of the season and could start again, with Raphinha expected to miss three or four weeks with a hamstring injury.
Lamine Yamal has agreed to sign his first professional contract at Barcelona, which will see him remain at the club until at least the end of the 2025-26 season. According to MDthe deal will be officially finalized on Monday.
Barcelona will be happy to finalize Yamal’s future in the pro group. The young prodigy is widely regarded as one of the most promising youngsters to come out of La Masia since Lionel Messi in 2004.
However, coach Xavi Hernandez does not intend to use it too often, in order to minimize the risk of injury or exhaustion.
