While Manchester United once again fell in the Premier League this Saturday afternoon, against Crystal Palace during the 7th day of the championship, the Red Devils are definitely unable to do so at the start of the season and have suffered a fourth setback in seven Premier League matches. Erik ten Hag’s players have conceded eleven goals in the league since the start of the season. This start to the campaign is quite simply the worst in the history of Manchester United for 34 years!
During the 1989-90 season, under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, the Mancunians lost four games by the end of September and finished the season in 13th position. However, they managed to win the FA Cup by beating Crystal Palace in the final. As a reminder, Manchester United now occupies 10th place in the Premier League standings and is already six points behind Aston Villa, currently 4th. They are also nine points behind Manchester City, despite losing 2-1 to Wolves on Saturday.
