Naples continues thanks to Osimhen

After a few hectic weeks, Naples had a second success in a row on the Lecce lawn this Saturday.

The month of September for Napoli will have been very eventful. Between a close victory in Braga in the Champions League, results which disappointed managers and supporters, and more recently the altercation between Victor Osimhen and Rudi Garcia followed by the famous episode TikTokthe Nigerian striker considering filing a complaint due to two mocking videos published by the club on the platform, including one particularly questionable.

On the ground, things are getting better. The Azzuri crushed Udinese (4-1) on Wednesday with a goal from Osimhen. This Saturday, Rudi Garcia’s players scored a second success in a row on the Lecce pitch. It was Norwegian defender Leo Ostigard who opened the scoring shortly after the quarter of an hour with a free kick well taken by Piotr Zielinski (1-0, 16th).

In the second period, Victor Osimhen scored his fifth goal of the season on a caviar from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to double the lead in the 51st minute. At the very end of the match, Gianluca Gaetano completed the success of the Neapolitans for his first minutes of the season thanks to a shot into the top corner at the entrance to the area. The 23-year-old then won a penalty, converted by Matteo Politano, allowing Napoli to score four goals for the second time in a row.

Thanks to this new great success, Naples temporarily climbs back to 3rd place in Serie A and gives itself a little breathing room after complicated weeks.
