Already not really comfortable defensively, Manchester United will have to do without the services of Lisandro Martinez for several months.

Manchester United’s start to the season is definitely very chaotic. On alternating current, the team led by Erik ten Hag is having difficulty stabilizing. But just as she seemed to be on the verge of achieving it, with two consecutive victories (a first this season), a serious blow has just hit her. Centerpiece of the Mancunian defense, Lisandro Martinez suffers from his right foot and will miss at least two months of competition.

It’s actually an old wound that has been reawakened. A blow received last April, the after-effects of which were still present. Forced to come out because of this on September 3 against Arsenal, Martinez was still able to play the following matches. But his body said stop. Manchester United communicated on the subject this Friday, leaving no room for a rapid return.

No operation at the moment

Lisandro Martinez will be out for an extended period due to the worsening of his foot injury sustained in April. (…) It was decided that he needed a period of rest to heal and recover. Next steps will be discussed soon. » If there is no question of an operation for the moment, it nonetheless remains a big problem for the Red Devils.
