Barça threatened with disappearance?

According to the Telegraph, the sanctions could be enormous against FC Barcelona in the Negreira affair.

Two rooms, two atmospheres. While the Catalan press relays the confidence and tranquility of FC Barcelona in the Negreira affair, the Telegraph evokes a disaster scenario for the Spanish club.

As a reminder, justice is interested in these payments of 7.7 million euros to the former boss of Spanish arbitration, between 2001 and 2018, for what the club claims to be “technical reports” on the referees. In the dock are Barça itself as a club, as well as former presidents Josep Maria Bartomeu, Sandro Rosell and Negreira’s son Javier Enríquez.

The individuals face a prison sentence of three to six years, if convicted. The club is also exposed to heavy sanctions. The Telegraph thus raises the possibility that FC Barcelona could be suspended from all competitions, which would deprive the club of practically all its income, and could push the Catalan institution to the point of bankruptcy.
