Zinedine Zidane would be ready to accept a role at Olympique de Marseille, and he would even have given his agreement to Saudi investors who are eyeing the Marseille club.

There were two pieces of information in the Mundo Deportivo article regarding Zinedine Zidane. The first is that the former number 10 of the Blues repelled the advances of Olympique de Marseille last week after the departure of Marcelino. The second was that the native of Castellane would not say no to OM in the event of a very ambitious project with Saudi investors.

This Thursday afternoon, France Bleu Provence confirms this second trend. Zidane would even have “gave agreement to Saudi Arabia a few weeks ago to, in the event of this country buying OM, become its general manager”assures local radio.

Zidane wants an ambitious project

There would be two huge conditions for Zidane’s arrival at OM. The first is that Frank McCourt agrees to sell the club to these Saudi investors who revolve around the Marseille entity. The second is that the former Real Madrid coach could have expanded powers within a very ambitious project. France Bleu Provence thus speaks of an envelope of 300 million euros for recruitment.

Local radio adds that OM is one of Zidane’s favorite clubs, along with Real Madrid and Juventus, who needs a project that he likes. This was the case for the French team, but the door closed with the contract extension of Didier Deschamps. “ZZ” has also refused the Saudi and Brazilian selections in recent months, and he has not given in to the sirens of PSG. To better land at OM? Here’s a hell of a bomb…
