Big news for the Blues!

Women’s Euro 2025 will be broadcast on TF1, which acquired the rights to the competition from UEFA. A very good thing for the Blues.

This time there will be no worry and soap opera. After a 2023 World Cup which found its broadcaster only a few weeks before the start of the competition (the schedule of matches, in Australia and New Zealand, was a hindrance), the Blue already know on which channel their matches of Euro 2025 will be visible. It will therefore be TF1.

“We are very happy to offer women’s competitions wide exposure and to allow them to be followed by as many people as possible, declared François Pellissier, deputy CEO of sports and business at TF1, in a press release. The acquisition of this major sporting event in 2025 once again demonstrates the TF1 Group’s ambition to offer the biggest events free of charge to all French people. »

According to L’Equipe, M6 and France Télévisions were also in the running. The three groups had made a proposal estimated at between 10 and 15 million euros, which was below the 20 million euros hoped for by UEFA. It was therefore TF1 which increased its offer to win the bet. And this confirms that the Bleues, despite a lack of progress in results for several years, are still generating revenue from free-to-air channels.
