Three days before the clash against OL, Gérard Prêcheur has decided to put an end to his adventure on the bench of the women’s section of PSG.

This is an unexpected announcement to say the least. While the season has barely started, Gérard Prêcheur, coach of the PSG women’s team for more than a year, has decided to slam the door, revealed this Thursday The Parisian, after several weeks of negotiations with its management. The official announcement should come in the coming hours.

Still according to the regional daily, the 63-year-old technician will be replaced by his son, Jocelyn Prêcheur, who until now held the position of assistant coach. Furthermore, the staff already in place should be retained. Current coach of the under-19 women’s team, Paulo Cesar, former PSG player, could also join the management of the Parisiennes.

Departure after the break

If the timing is surprising – three days before the clash against Fenottes – the Ile-de-France players were informed of the possible departure of Gérard Prêcheur on September 17, at the end of the first day of the championship. However, the former OL coach should remain in post until the international break, another three weeks.
