Disappointed by Jason Sancho’s performance and embarrassed by accusations of domestic violence against Antony, Manchester United are reportedly aiming for an alternative for next January.

Although it has experienced recurring defensive problems for several years, Manchester United has some problems with its attackers this season. Not necessarily in the game, but off the field. First there is Jadon Sancho whose sporting level does not convince his trainer Erik ten Hag. But there is also Antony who was temporarily dismissed by the English club, claiming that the courts are looking into the accusations of domestic violence to which the Brazilian is the subject. As a result, an external option is sought.

In any case, this is what the Dailymail which cites the name of Serge Gnabry, as a rescue solution. For the English media, Jadon Sancho is not ready to return to the Mancunian group, especially after his comments on social networks after being sidelined by his coach. The possibility of seeing the huge flop bought for €85 million from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 be sent elsewhere in the coming months would not be excluded.

The Gnabry solution

As for Antony, if it is not his performance on the field which is called into question, it could be for him like Mason Greenwood, also accused of domestic violence before the charges were dropped by the accuser. United management considered reinstating the latter, but faced with outcry from several associations and supporters, he was loaned to Spain.

And to compensate for these possible departures, Manchester United would seriously look into the Serge Gnabry file. The Spanish media Nacional estimated that the former Arsenal player could thus be contacted for an arrival next winter, or even the following summer. However, it seems quite unlikely that Bayern Munich would agree to let go of a player who has found some sensations recently.
