Thanks to an achievement by Wendie Renard, the French women’s team won (0-1) against Austria on Tuesday evening in the Nations League.

The Blues provided the essentials. After their victory Friday evening against Portugal (2-0), Hervé Renard’s girls dominated Austria (0-1), this Tuesday evening in Vienna, as part of the 2nd day of the League of Nations.

The French women won thanks to a header at the very start of the game scored by Wendie Renard (0-1, 5th), well served by her teammate from Lyon, Selma Bacha.

“We didn’t do everything right”

“We didn’t do everything well, but we got three points, that’s the most important thing”confided French coach Hervé Renard at the final whistle at the microphone of France Télévisons.

A meeting also marked by the tenure of Amandine Henry, who started on the bench against the Lusitanians. The French team now meets at the end of October, with a double confrontation against Norway on the menu.
