This summer, during the transfer window, Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice joined the circle of players who cost over 100 million euros or more.

The circle of players who cost 100 million euros or more grew further this summer. There are now seventeen of them, after the XXL transfers of Harry Kane (from Tottenham to Bayern Munich, €100 million), Jude Bellingham (from Dortmund to Real Madrid, €103 million), Moises Caidedo (from Brighton to Chelsea, €116 million) and Declan Rice (from West Ham to Arsenal, €116.6 million).

To this day, Neymar remains the most expensive footballer in history. In 2017, PSG had to offer 222 million euros to FC Barcelona to settle the amount of the Brazilian’s release clause. The same summer, the capital club secured the services of Kylian Mbappé from Monaco, first in the form of a loan then permanently, for 180 million euros.
