Asked to return to the failure of Laurent Blanc at the head of Olympique Lyonnais, Maxence Caqueret did not spare the Lyon players.

Olympique Lyonnais is going through one of the worst crises in its history. The new defeat conceded in Brest on Saturday means that OL are in 17th placee place in Ligue 1 with two measly points after six days.

This catastrophic start to the season has already cost Laurent Blanc his place, replaced by Fabio Grosso. But for Maxence Caqueret, the problem lies elsewhere. “For me, the problem is that the players are not doing enough. At this point, I think it’s up to us to have that connection to try to mobilize everyone and be 100% on the ground,” he said at the Canal Football Club microphone.

Earlier, it was captain Alexandre Lacazette who had similar words to stigmatize the shortcomings of the Rhone squad. “It’s not for me to say whether certain players give their all or not. The squad is what it is”he confided.
