The ranking of European top scorers returns this Monday for the 2nd assessment of this 2023/2024 financial year. This concerns the scorers who affected Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. And it is now a former well-known face of Ligue 1, Serhou Guirassy, author of a hat-trick and a new double, who comes in first place. The Guinean international, who now plays in Stuttgart, is the first to reach the 10-goal mark and only needed 5 matches. A great start to the season for the former Rennes and Amiens player is therefore better than Erling Braut Haaland last season.

We find the Norwegian cyborg on the second step of the podium, he who occupied first position in the last ranking. Despite this, the Manchester City center forward, who again found the fault against West Ham as well as against Nottingham Forest, is improving his statistics with the Skyblues and already has 8 goals in 6 contested matches. Behind him, we find Mateo Cassierra who also scored two new goals in the last two matches with Zenit Saint Petersburg. If the Colombian therefore reaches the same bar as his Norwegian counterpart, he has played more minutes than him and therefore finds himself on the last step of the podium just ahead of another well-known player in France since it is Kylian Mbappé.

Harry Kane and Mauro Icardi join the ranking of top scorers

Erling Haaland’s announced rival for the next editions of the Ballon d’Or scored a new double against OGC Nice to bring his total to 7 goals even if he remained silent against Olympique de Marseille during the Classic this Sunday evening, the fault of an ankle injury which forced him to leave his teammates half an hour into the game. With the same number of goals, we find Vangelis Pavlidis, again decisive with AZ Alkmaar while the Greek played more minutes than the French striker, as well as Harry Kane who made his debut in this ranking. Bayern Munich’s new scorer makes a historic start to the season in Germany thanks to his first hat-trick with the Bavarian club against Bochum.

With 7 goals in his first five Bundesliga matches, the Englishman is better than Mario Mandzukic, Gerd Muller and Miroslav Klose (5 goals in their first 5 matches). Mauro Icardi also made a big breakthrough in this ranking of top European scorers. The former PSG striker, who has scored two new goals with Galatasaray since the last report, is now in 7th place with 6 goals in total. The Argentinian is two minutes ahead of Santiago Gimenez who has the same number of goals with Feyenoord. But that’s not all since two other players count as many twigs. These are Victor Boniface, transferred this summer to Bayer Leverkusen from Union Saint-Gilloise, and Fedor Chalov, who plays for CSKA Moscow.

Forgotten from the ranking with a high-sounding name but not only that!

All other players have one unit less on the clock with 5 goals scored in total since the start of the season. We find big names like Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Heung-min Son (Tottenham), Lautaro Martinez (Inter), Álvaro Morata (Atlético) but also a scorer from our beloved Ligue 1, Mostafa Mohamed (FC Nantes). Finally, we can also mention Mame Thiam (Kayserispor), Jonas Wind (VfL Wolfsburg), Vincent Janssen (Antwerp), Dennis-Yerai Eckert Ayensa (Union Saint-Gilloise), Kevin Denkey (Cercle Brugge), Jonathan Okita (FC Zürich) , Anton Zabolotnyi (CSKA Moscow), Róbert Bozenik (Boavista), Nikolas Agrafiotis (Excelsior), Maximilian Entrup (TSV Hartberg) and Sinan Karweina (Austria Klagenfurt).
