This Monday, Éric Di Meco spoke about the potential arrival of Christophe Galtier on the OM bench.
This is the pretty crazy rumor of the day. Following the correction received by theOlympic Marseille facing Paris Saint Germain (0-4), there are many questions surrounding the Riviera club. Between a crisis within management and a sporting crisis which grows with each poor performance, OM has still not found a replacement for Marcelinotemporarily replaced by Jacques Abardonado.
Galtier, a choice that divides
This Monday, RMC Sport indicated that the Olympian management had contacted Christophe Galtier to take the reins of his team., Pablo Longoria wishing to hire a French coach to facilitate exchanges with the Marseille locker room. A rumor which had the gift of making the club’s supporters react, already unhappy with the current situation and who, for the most part, do not want a former coach of the Paris Saint Germainwhile he had worn the sky and white jersey as a player.

But for Eric Di Meco, this choice would not necessarily be bad and would even be the most logical. In the Super Moscato Show this Monday, the 1993 European champion spoke about the possible arrival of Galtier in Marseille and preferred to dwell on his rich experience in Ligue 1. “Let’s imagine. We take Christophe’s career and remove the move to PSG: he is the ideal candidate, the natural candidate, decided the former Marseille player. It is no coincidence that OM was interested in him several times. He knows Ligue 1, he knows this club, he knows the players… There, we have to move quickly, we are coming out of a special week. The coming weeks are going to be important so we have to perform well straight away”he explained.
Without a club since his departure from PSG at the end of last season, Galtier will have to face justice during his trial for discriminatory remarks, which will take place on December 15.
