Trained in Toulon and Saint-Etienne, Josuha Guilavogui turned pro in Forez before joining Atlético de Madrid. In Spain, the midfielder never managed to establish himself before arriving in the Bundesliga. Arriving at Wolfsburg in 2014, the now 33-year-old spent a large part of his career in Germany. Free since the end of his contract with Wolves at the end of last season, the player who also played for Girondin de Bordeaux will finally continue his career across the Rhine.
While the French midfielder had already reached an agreement in principle to join the Mainz club, current bottom of the Bundesliga, for two years including an optional year a little earlier this Monday, the German team formalized the arrival of Josuha Guilavogui immediately. The former Wolfsourg player therefore remains in Germany for at least one more season. At 33, the international tricolor (7 selections) will experience a 14th year in a row among professionals!
