Tottenham resists Arsenal

At the end of a committed and close meeting, Arsenal and Tottenham parted good friends this Sunday, at the Emirates Stadium (2-2, 6th day of the Premier League).

Certainly, there was no winner this Sunday at the Emirates Stadium, but the match between Arsenal and Tottenham was not short on spectacle (2-2, 6th day of the Premier League). Two goals for each team and one point everywhere, this is the balance sheet of a committed match, with multiple twists and turns.

It was first Arsenal who benefited from a twist of fate and Romero’s own goal to open the scoring (1-0, 26th). But Tottenham responded by coming back to the score at the end of the first period thanks to Son, well served by Maddison (1-1, 42nd). A deserved equalization for the Spurs who dominated the first act in terms of ball possession (61%), even if the number of shots on target (and off target) was the same for both teams.

His, double savior

Returning from the locker room, same scenario with a new goal in favor of Gunners, this time the work of Saka (2-1, 54th), before Son, again, brought Tottenham back up to par (2-2, 55th). Another equalizer, just a few seconds after the opposing goal. A new cold snap for Arsenal who will not be able to get back in front for a third time. Very disjointed, the second period nevertheless offered some nice thrills to the Emirates public.

The North London derby has therefore not chosen its winner and on an accounting level, it is Manchester City who are rubbing their hands since the championship leader is now four units ahead of Spurs and the Gunners, respectively fourth and fifth.
