José Mourinho spoke of the new injury contracted by Renato Sanches on Thursday evening, during AS Roma’s success on the lawn of Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League (1-2).
Renato Sanches’ body will not have left him alone for very long. A player plagued by multiple injuries season after season, the Portuguese international on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to AS Roma has relapsed again. Traveling to the Sheriff Tiraspol pitch this Thursday, as part of the group stage of the Europa League, the Lusitanian had to leave prematurely. Enough to leave his coach very perplexed, despite the victory of La Louve (1-2).
Interviewed at the microphone of Sky Sports after the match, José Mourinho clearly expressed his incomprehension regarding the chronic fragility of his player. “ He’s always in doubt and it’s hard to understand why he’s hurt all the time. Bayern, PSG… and now it’s us who don’t understand. He played four-five minutes on Sunday before resting for three days, and then he was injured after twenty-seven minutes.“
Exams to follow
Totally disappointed, José Mourinho may regret losing an element which was gaining in importance, he who had scored his first goal in his new colors last Sunday, during the Roman card against Empoli (7-0). We will have to wait for the results of the exams to know how long Renato Sanches will be absent.
