Canal +, the big announcement!

According to information disclosed this Thursday by the daily L’Equipe, the Canal + group has extended its broadcasting rights to the Premier League.

The Premier League on Canal + is not over. The encrypted channel has extended its broadcasting rights for the English championship for an additional three years, until 2028, according to the newspaper’s information The Team. The current contract between the two parties runs until 2025 and is estimated at around 75 million euros per season.

Canal+ has already extended its broadcasting rights for the European Cups (Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League) for the period 2024-2027, the Top 14 until 2027 as well as MotoGP and Formula 1 until 2029.

Waiting for Ligue 1?

The Professional Football League recently launched its call for tenders for Ligue 1 TV rights for the period 2024-2029.
