French goalkeeper Mike Maignan had the misfortune of being injured this Tuesday during Milan’s match against Newcastle United in C1.
The first day of the Champions League was not favorable to French goalkeeper Mike Maignan. During the match against Newcastle, the French international suffered a stroke which forced him to leave the field before his teammates.
The former Lille player gave up his place with a quarter of an hour remaining. It was his replacement Sportiello who relieved him on the pitch. The score was then zero everywhere, and this is also the final score of this game.
Maignan suffered his third injury in the space of a year. Last year, he was stopped for a long time and he also experienced a relapse which deprived him of participation in the World Cup with the Blues.
