OM will soon have to part ways with an important element on which they had high hopes.
Marseille recorded a lot of departures during the last summer transfer window. And he will experience more next January. There is already a definite starter, in the person of Azeddine Ounahi. The Moroccan does not fit into the plans of the new coach, Marcelino at all.
Marcelino no longer counts on him
The Spanish coach tried to find a place for the former Angers player in his system, but it was not convincing. After participating as a starter in the first three matches, he completely disappeared from circulation. During the last four matches, the Olympian number 8 has not been entitled to a single minute of play.
According to La Minute OM, Ounahi was already supposed to leave last August, due to a lack of a sufficiently interesting offer on the table. Its transfer was therefore postponed for a few months. It would take a completely unforeseen twist for the situation to evolve and for Ounahi to find favor with his coach.
Barring a miracle, Ounahi will not stay more than a year in Marseille. As a reminder, he arrived last January from the SCO. At the time, he had only played a handful of matches under Igor Tudor before suffering a serious injury and seeing his season cut short.
