Held in check by TFC at the Vélodrome (0-0), OM endured whistles and reprimands from its supporters this Sunday.

The Olympians coach, Marcelino, for his part, was lenient with his team. “ We all want to win and I have nothing to reproach my players, they gave everything. We can be much better in the final third of the pitch, but we had three posts and the details are not going in our favor. Of course, the game could be better and with more continuity. But I repeat that the players gave everything and that this is the right path to follow », said the Spanish technician afterwards at a press conference.

While OM now faces three dangerous trips, to Amsterdam, Paris and Monaco, Marcelino continues: “ We will improve and I am sure the supporters will be happy with their team. Ajax, PSG and Monaco to come, these are very difficult matches. But I think we will be competitive. We are in a learning phase, we must improve tactically and technically. There are phases where we lose a lot of easy balls and we become disorganized. But the attitude of the players is very positive. We are going to Amsterdam with the hope of winning, then we will think of Paris and we will go to Monaco with the same ambition. »

And to conclude: “ We weren’t effective in the final third, it’s true. We had difficulties in front of goal but I believe in these players. We have good players. We have to play more as a team but what concerns me the most are the difficulties in scoring. We would like more, me first, more continuity in the game, more offensive continuity and in the rhythm… This is the reality, we cannot hide it. »
