Three months after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, Christophe Galtier spoke on Canal + this Sunday evening.

A French champion title won in total chaos. It is in these terms that we could summarize Christophe Galtier’s year spent in the capital. After his feats of arms in Saint-Etienne or Lille, the French technician took up the challenge of managing world stars like Kylian Mbappé, Neymar or Lionel Messi. But the adventure in Paris was cut short.

On the pitch, his team has liquefied over the months and crashes in other competitions, with eliminations in the round of 16 of the Champions League (against Bayern Munich) and the Coupe de France (against Olympique from Marseille). Outside the green rectangle, the former PSG coach also experienced an ordeal, between an extra-sporting affair against a backdrop of accusations of racism following his time in Nice, and incessant criticism on his legitimacy to lead a club of this dimension.

Galtier denounces “a media surge on sensitive subjects”

Christophe Galtier chose to break the silence three months after his ouster from the club. The technician gave an interview to Canal + in which he reveals his truths. “I have not spoken before because there has been such a media outpouring on such sensitive subjects. It’s very difficult to bear, especially since I think it’s unfair. I suffered the blow, but now I am very combative”he said in comments broadcast on Canal Football Club this Sunday.
