After refusing this track last weekend, Julian Draxler finally agreed to join the Qatari club Al-Ahli. Good news for PSG.
This is a good surprise for Paris Saint-Germain. Unwanted, Julian Draxler finally agreed to leave the capital club, and will join Al-Ahli very soon.
The German midfielder, however, declined the Qatari club’s offer last weekend, for family reasons. A few days later, the former Schalke 04 player changed his mind, and will join Al-Alhi, where he should sign a contract until 2025. This is what Florian Plettenberg, the transfer window specialist, announces from Sky in Germany.

This is excellent news for PSG, who will be able to get rid of a big salary, and a player who did not fit into Luis Enrique’s plans for this season. The amount of the transfer could even exceed 20 million euros for Draxler, a very substantial sum for a player who was in a situation of failure, and who only has one year left on his contract.
Clearly, PSG will have done some good business with Qatar, the country of its owners, if we also take into account the more than 60 million euros received for the transfers of Abdou Diallo and Marco Verratti to Al-Arabi . By adding the 90 million euros collected from the sale of Neymar to Saudi Arabia, this transfer window is proving to be quite profitable for PSG.
