Pogba and Juventus, is it already over? This is a very probable hypothesis. The French midfielder tested positive for testosterone after, according to him, following the recommendations of a doctor who advised him to take a food supplement which he was not suspicious of. A dirty story which could cost La Pioche very dearly, who risks a four-year suspension, in addition to a termination of his lucrative contract with the Old Lady, around 8 million euros net per season until June 2026.

While waiting to know more about the continuation of events, and while the player wants to collaborate with the justice system and the Italian anti-doping authorities, Juventus must necessarily think about what comes next. If it could make significant savings in the event of Pogba’s departure, it will be necessary to recruit to replace him – even if his participation last year was anecdotal – and strengthen the team at the same time.

Draw at Arsenal

According to information from the Republic, Juventus has already targeted a potential recruit to replace the Frenchman. It’s Thomas Partey, Arsenal’s Ghanaian midfielder. The latter actually has qualities and a profile similar to the French player. However, he remains very important in the eyes of Mikel Arteta, who started him in four of the five matches played by the Gunners this season, having missed the last duel of the Londoners due to injury.

The player had already been followed by the Turinese for a while now, and this possible departure of Paul Pogba could therefore be the ideal opportunity to finally go on the attack. There is also the Joseph Nonge Boende house option, as reported by the transalpine press. The 18-year-old Belgian midfielder, who currently plays with Juve’s B team, could thus be promoted to A to occupy the place left free by the Frenchman. He has already trained with the first team and would therefore not necessarily need a huge adaptation time. One thing is certain: Juve does not want to be caught off guard…
