Didier Deschamps spoke about the situation of French midfielder from Juventus Turin, Paul Pogba, provisionally suspended after a positive doping test.

France conceded its first defeat of the year against Germany (2-1) this Tuesday in Dortmund. A meeting debriefed by the EDF coach, Didier Deschamps. The French technician took the opportunity to return to the case of Paul Pogba. The Juventus Turin midfielder, plagued by repeated injuries which have kept him away from the Blues, is currently making headlines due to suspicion of doping following a positive test for testosterone.

“Paul Pogba? Obviously I was very surprised. I don’t have all the elements, declared DD at the microphone of TF1. There will be things that follow behind. There’s so much piling up for him. I communicated with him in messages and I would have time to talk to him even more, he assured. I can’t imagine that he knowingly took performance-enhancing drugs, knowing him. But the substance is there. It will take a little time to find out the why and how. It’s a shame for him, I’ve always supported him,” thus concluded the Bayonnais.
