A young 17-year-old Brazilian striker, Endrick quickly caught the eye of Real Madrid who wasted no time in spending 70 million euros (bonus included) to recruit him. Due to arrive in the summer of 2024 at Casa Blanca, he is having a rather complicated season with his club Palmeiras. In 23 matches played, he has 5 goals, but finds himself used less and less by his coach Abel Ferreira. Enough to worry about the Merengues who will get him back when he comes of age. An age that has been debated within the country of Cervantes.

Manolo Romero, a former Real Madrid recruiter, made some very questionable statements on this subject. Indeed, he said he wasn’t sure Endrick’s age was the right one. “I always had doubts with Endrick whether the age given to him was the right one. Yes, because physically he is too well trained and I always remember the anecdote of Radamel Falcao who arrived in Europe older than his age” he declared on the Cadena Ser in the show Carrusel Deportivo. Comments which recall those of Guy Roux during Euro 2016 when he pointed the finger at Renato Sanches on the same subject.
