Didier Deschamps should make some changes to face the German team this Tuesday evening.

After its masterful victory against Ireland last Thursday in qualifying for Euro 2024, theFrench team will challenge its host countryGermany this Tuesday at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Building on their five consecutive victories (without conceding a goal) since the World Cup, the Blues face a German team which is going through a major period of crisis with five matches without a victory, including three straight losses and a humiliation at home against in Japan last week (1-4). Opposing dynamics which make France the favorite of this match even if the Mannschaft must still be taken seriously, although they have not won against Didier Deschamps’ men since the 2014 World Cup (4 defeats, 2 zero since).

Kolo Muani back

For this meeting, Didier Deschamps should make some changes compared to Thursday. If we are to believe the information from The Team, Randal Kolo Muani should replace Olivier Giroud at the forefront, while Kingsley Coman would occupy the right side and Kylian Mbappé would stay on the left. In the middle, the Real Madrid pair Tchouaméni-Camavinga should support the indestructible Antoine Griezmann who will dispute his 80th consecutive match under the blue jersey.

In defense, Deschamps should opt for a new hinge with William Saliba associated with Dayot Upamecano, who will be supported by Théo Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard on the sides. Mike Maignan should once again start in goal for the Habs.

Germany is looking for itself

On the German side, the biggest change will be on the bench since Hansi Flick, sacked after the defeat against Japan, is replaced by Rudi Völler on an interim basis. On the pitch, he should make some changes, notably with the departure of Kai Havertz, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Niklas Süle from the starting lineup. Thomas Müller should occupy the forefront of the attack with the young Florian Wirtz in attacking midfielder.

The probable composition of Germany: Ter Stegen – Henrichs, Thiaw, Rüdiger, Gosens – Can (cap.), Gündogan – Brandt, Wirtz, Sané – Müller.

The probable composition of France: Maignan – Pavard, Saliba, Upamecano, T. Hernandez – Tchouaméni, Camavinga – Coman, Griezmann, Mbappé – Kolo Muani.
