Having passed through Nice when he was younger, without really establishing himself there, Romain Perraud hopes this year to show what he is capable of with the Gym. Loaned by Southampton, with whom he discovered the Premier League (36 matches in 2022-2023), in the south-east of France, the 25-year-old left side intends to make his place despite competition with Melvin Bard, performing well so far. But the native of Toulouse prefers to concentrate on the collective, he who wants to undermine Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, two ogres of Ligue 1.

“In my opinion, they are the two best teams in the championship. So it’s going to be two hell of a test to know where we are. You have to be ambitious. We validated all the coach’s work against Strasbourg. We know that these teams are perhaps above us but we have nothing to envy them. We’re going to have to look them straight in the eye.”, he tells for RMC Sport. After the break, OGC Nice will go to the Parc des Princes before hosting the Monegasques. A busy schedule for a team full of ambitions.
