This Monday, the capital club announced the opening of a new official store in London. “Paris Saint-Germain and Lids are opening a new official PSG store on Oxford Street, the famous London thoroughfare. The Parisian club is the first non-British sports club to set up in the English capital in line with its innovative strategy of developing a permanent retail network in the world’s largest cities. This new pioneering location follows store openings in Doha, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul, Miami and most recently Las Vegas. It builds on the remarkable work carried out by Paris Saint-Germain for more than a decade to increase the notoriety and presence of its brand on all continents and strengthen its lifestyle positioning thanks to exclusive collections and collaborations with leading local creators and talents.”
PSG subsequently added: “land of football and trends, the United Kingdom is not immune to PSG mania. The red and blue jersey is worn by many British people, especially the younger generations. The United Kingdom is now the club’s second largest market in terms of merchandising. The club has already been present there since 2016 through its PSG Academy network. The Academy’s footprint has grown to include 10 academies across the UK, including London and Manchester. Thanks to Parisian coaching methods, more than a thousand young British people are today perfecting their football skills at the PSG Academy. The opening of this new store reflects the club’s ambition to strengthen its links with its long-standing fans in the UK. London is a cosmopolitan city that welcomes not only British fans, but also French fans living in London and fans from all over the world. The United Kingdom is the third country in the world with the largest French population outside of France. Paris Saint-Germain are also very popular on social media in the UK, with over 4.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) alone. With its first physical store in the United Kingdom, Paris Saint-Germain is creating more proximity and sharing the club’s passion for football and fashion with a new community of fans. This is the thirteenth store opened by the French team. The PSG brand continues to be exported to all four corners of the globe.
