Smiling and relaxed, Thierry Henry has definitely reconnected with the French public in recent years. After two seasons in the shoes of a star consultant for the Amazon group, the 1998 world champion returned to the green rectangle by donning the coach of the France Espoirs team.

Why Thierry Henry changed
Often perceived as a cold and distant personality, Thierry Henry confessed why he put water in his wine. “The first time you get fired, you really become a coach. You learn something, you begin to understand that you have to delegate. You can’t fight everyone and there are some battles you can’t win. Covid changed me a lot, it made me human because at one point I was in robot mode. I like to laugh but it didn’t show, because I was in killer mode all the time.”
