During the summer transfer window, Manchester City were reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery.
According to Fabrizio Romano in his Daily Briefing, PSG and the Premier League champions discussed a swap deal for Bernardo Silva, which fell through this summer.
The Parisians would have offered Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti in exchange for the Portuguese. However, City reportedly wanted to include Zaire-Emery in the deal. Ultimately, Guardiola decided not to part ways with Silva. However, the club will keep an eye on the 17-year-old in the future as he is still interested.
The young man is considered a prodigiously gifted player, capable of reaching the top in the near future. He has already made 35 senior appearances and was called up to the French under-21 team.
City face West Ham when the Premier League resumes, while PSG travel to Nice.
