Chelsea management is once again considering recruiting in attack during the next transfer window.

Chelsea have been the biggest spending European club over the last two transfer windows. And this may still be the case next January. The objective of the London management is to afford one or more attackers.

Chelsea are desperate for a goalscorer

The Blues have been in the market for a centre-forward since the end of the summer transfer window and Aston Villa’s Olie Watkins is now among their top targets. The England international, however, is not the only one to interest the Blues.

On the If Phillips Talks Chelsea podcast, Phillips said: “It is obvious that Dusan Vlahovic was evaluated during the summer. He is always there. And there is also Jonathan David from Lille. And the last one is Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa. “That’s what I was told this week and that’s what Chelsea are planning for January.”

Currently, Chelsea do not have any renowned striker in their squad. During the summer, the club let Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go. In the last league matches, it was the inexperienced Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson who were lined up in attack.
