Real Madrid have started the season well, with a 100% record in four matches.

Naturally, Jude Bellingham grabbed the headlines with 5 goals in just 4 games, but for new signing Joselu Mato, one player in particular stood out.

German maestro Toni Kroos started just one of those matches, but he came on last weekend against Getafe and turned the game around. Kroos considered retiring last year but eventually stayed, capping off his first start of the season with an assist for Bellingham against Almeria.

“Kroos should have five Ballons d’Or! »Joselu told Diario AS.

“He’s an incredible player, capable of changing a game. He is one of the players who most caught my attention at Real Madrid. He never loses the ball and plays with a serenity that makes him different. It’s a pleasure to play with him.” That’s what Kroos did against Getafe.

Like last season, the German midfielder started the season in great shape. Last season, he was arguably Real Madrid’s best player ahead of the World Cup in Qatar. This season, Luka Modric and him will face strong competition, with Aurélien Tchouameni, Fede Valverde, Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga in particular. But the veterans are already showing that they are not to be neglected.
