While the next edition of the African Cup of Nations will take place in Côte d’Ivoire in just a few months, Algeria could count on a very interesting additional reinforcement for this oh so prestigious competition. Djamel Belmadi, the Fennecs coach, has indeed made a big revelation about Amine Gouiri. The 47-year-old technician notably announced that Stade Rennais striker Amine was now eligible to play with the Algerian team.
During his press conference, Djamel Belmadi recalled that the player trained at Olympique Lyonnais could also now be summoned by him after obtaining Algerian nationality. “From an administrative point of view, we are not going to make a fuss, apparently it is settled”, has also entrusted the coach of the Fennecs. As a reminder, Amine Gouiri has regularly been called up with all the different youth teams of the Blues even if he has never worn the jersey of the first team.
