But in Madrid, merengue defender Dani Carvajal believed that the Bondynois was going to land in Spain this summer.

“I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that there were no discussions, but there were all kinds of opinions in the pre-season conversations after dinner. (…) I thought he was coming. As long as he’s not on the Japan tour… And I think Real Madrid is his starting option. As soon as he stopped touring, we thought he was about to join the club. Then it seems that everything went wrong and he didn’t come. (…) He is one of the best and the best must play for Real Madrid”he confided in remarks relayed by Report.
