Kai Havertz will fail Arsenal after moving from Chelsea for £65m, according to former centre-back William Gallas.
Gallas insists Havertz is struggling at the Gunners, and believes their game is too different to Chelsea’s for him to succeed at the Emirates. The 24-year-old has made three Premier League appearances so far but hasn’t scored or provided an assist and Gallas thinks he’s not good enough.
Addressing Gambling Zone, Gallas said: “At the moment, Havertz is not performing well. I was surprised to see him go to Arsenal. They could have taken another player. It is difficult for him to find the right position. Arsenal’s game is not the same as Chelsea’s, it’s difficult for him at the moment. I don’t think he will succeed at Arsenal.”
At Chelsea, the playmaker made 139 appearances and netted 47 goals, through his own goals and assists, playing in a variety of roles from attacking midfielder to striker.
But it is not yet clear whether he will be able to adapt to life in North London.
