Jurgen Klopp insists Mohamed Salah is “very attached” to Liverpool despite the prospect of a £200m bid from Saudi club Al-Ittihad.
The Liverpool manager remains adamant that the Egyptian striker is not for sale, despite an offer reportedly in the region of £200m from the Saudi Pro League side. Klopp also said he has no concerns about Salah’s concentration over the next few weeks.
Klopp told reporters ahead of Sunday’s game against Aston Villa: “Mo is very involved, he is training hard. And in the leadership meetings this week, he was totally on board. I have to stick to the facts, and my facts are: ‘It’s okay, we’re here and we need help: It’s okay, we’re here and it’s okay’.
With the Saudi transfer window open for an additional week, both player and club may well have to undergo a testing period. Al-Ittihad’s offer could prove tempting for Salah, 31, in terms of salary.
